 | THANK YOU! From The King William Charitable Trust – Ashley’s 3 peaks challenge raises a fantastic £2.036 for the RNLI Hunstanton. This considerable sum should be sufficient to sponsor 2 of the boatman on their intensive training course for the new lifeboat which is due for delivery in November. Thank you to all of our customers and suppliers who so kindly made this sum possible. The cheque was presented to, Mr. Terry Morris , the chairman of the RNLI Hunstanton on Friday 21 August.

 | Beer news For the beer lovers amongst you will have noticed that since May we have introduced Old Speckled Hen as a second guest Ale and it is here to stay. This is an addition to our normal guest Ale which is changed weekly. Liz Wilce, your knowledgeable bar Manager advises that demand has been extremely high and that The Hen has been well received. Liz is responsible for selecting the guest Ales and all requests should be submitted to her and will be considered on their own merits.

 | Hunstanton Treasure Trails available soon from reception An exciting new concept has been introduced this year for the active walkers amongst you. We have commissioned a company to produce a Sedgeford walking trail which begins and ends at The King William, lasting for about two hours as you answer clues along the way. The mystery trails will be available from reception towards the end of September. A great family or group activity to enjoy.

 | Mussels back on the menu. Nothing is more welcoming than a steaming bowl of mussels after a good walk. Mussel season starts in Autumn and small and large portions will be back on our specials board soon.

 | The inspector calls. During our busy July period we had our annual inspection and are delighted to have once again achieved 4 star silver award rating for existing & new facilities. Special accolades were given to the excellent cleanliness throughout, menu, welcoming and friendly staff. We are very fortunate to have such a fine and committed team. Whilst there are no major events planned during October, Norfolk is nevertheless beautiful. Autumn colours on Country Walks, long stretches of abandoned beaches with great views and coming back to log fires in the bar.
